Exterior Updates

Beginning at the front, the Taigun Trail edition features a sleek all-black grille complemented by chrome strips on both the upper and lower sections. On the sides, attention is drawn to the 16-inch alloy wheels, which are elegantly finished in black. Along with that, the vehicle proudly displays “Trail” badging under the ORVMs, along with the distinctive body graphics on the rear door and C-pillar.

It also gets puddle lamps for added convenience, a roof rack for increased utility, and a prominent “Trail edition” badge at the rear, showcasing the edition’s distinct identity.

Interior Updates

The cabin of the Volkswagen Taigun Trail edition is expected to be similar to the other special editions of the “GT Edge Collection”. While there may be a potential variation in color scheme and unique lettering specific to this variant, it is anticipated that the features and amenities will likely remain consistent.

Based on the variants of GT, it may come equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill holds assist and a rearview camera.

Powertrain Details

In the GT variants of the Volkswagen Taigun, you’ll find a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 150PS and 250 Nm of torque. It can be matched with either a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission).

Pricing Details

The GT variants of the Volkswagen Taigun start at Rs 16.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Given the pricing of Taigun’s previous special edition, it is expected that the Trail Edition may come with a premium of more than Rs 50,000.
