Teaser for MG Hector Blackstorm Edition Released, Launch Scheduled for April 10

In line with the latest trend among automakers, who have been unveiling special blacked-out versions of their vehicles, featuring sleek black exteriors along with sportier design accents both inside and out, the MG Hector is set to join the battle with its upcoming Blackstorm edition.

Scheduled for launch on April 10, the teaser for this variant has already been officially released. Originally introduced with the MG Gloster and later with the MG Astor, the Blackstorm treatment has proven popular, and now the MGHector will become the third SUV in the lineup to receive this stylish all-black makeover.

Also, note that MG has exclusively teased the Blackstorm edition of the Hector 5-seater model, and not the Hector Plus variant, which offers seating configurations for six or seven passengers.

What the Teaser Reveals

In the official teaser, MG has unveiled the front design of the Hector Blackstorm. Similar to previous Blackstorm editions of the Golster and Astor, the Hector Blackstorm will feature a fully black exterior color, highlighted by red detailing around the headlight housing and on the ORVMs. The teaser image also reveals blacked-out alloy wheels complemented by red-painted brake calipers. Furthermore, the 'Blackstorm' branding is prominently displayed on the fender.

Expected Interior Updates

While MG has not yet disclosed the interior of the Hector Blackstorm, based on the previous all-black editions of the Golster and Astor, it is expected that the Hector Blackstorm will also feature an all-black dashboard theme with red accents.

No expected changes in features

Besides the all-black exterior paint and various cosmetic enhancements both internally and externally, there are no expected alterations to features. To provide context, the Hector exhibits a comprehensive range of amenities such as a vertically oriented 14-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, 8-color ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Its safety suite comprises up to six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and a range of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

The feature lineup could differ based on the variants offered with the Hector Blackstorm. The features listed above are relevant to the fully equipped version of the MG Hector.
