MG Gloster Snowstorm and Desertstorm Editions Launched, Starting at Rs 41.05 Lakh

The MG Gloster Storm Series has launched in India, expanding with the existing Blackstorm and introducing the new Snowstorm and Desertstorm editions. This series features subtle exterior design updates compared to the standard Gloster, with interiors showcasing a new blacked-out theme with white stitching. The MG Gloster Desertstorm and Blackstorm editions are available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations, while the Snowstorm edition is exclusively a 7-seater.

Exterior Specifications

The MG Gloster Storm Series offers a rugged and distinctive appearance with three different shade options. The Snowstorm variant features a dual-tone Pearl White and Black paint scheme, while the Desertstorm has a Deep Golden shade and the Blackstorm comes in a choice of black and grey shades.

All three variants share blacked-out design elements, including the grille, alloy wheels, additional door cladding, and red accents on the headlights. However, the Desertstorm and Blackstorm models further enhance their adventurous look with red accents on the front and rear skid plates and outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs). You can also personalize their Gloster Storm with dealer-fitted accessories such as themed badges, seat massagers, carpet mats, dashboard mats, and a premium 12-speaker JBL audio system.

Interior Specifications

The Gloster Storm Series showcases a bold, blacked-out interior theme, with distinct accents to complement each variant’s exterior shade. The Snowstorm features white stitching on the seats and steering wheel, while the Desertstorm adds a touch of contrast with white stitching on the steering wheel.

Based on the top-spec Savvy option, these special edition models offer a comprehensive range of premium features, including a panoramic sunroof, ventilated driver’s seat, powered tailgate, and an advanced 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, as well as full-digital driver’s display.

The Gloster Storm Series also comes with a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), comprising lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and a 360-degree camera, ensuring a safe and confident driving experience.

Powertrain Details

Powering the MG Gloster Desertstorm and Snowstorm Editions is the same powerful drivetrain as the regular model. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant comes with a powerful 2-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that delivers an impressive 215 PS of power and a substantial 478 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission for an engaging driving experience. Alternatively, the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) versions feature the standard SUV’s 2-litre diesel engine, which generates 161 PS of power and 373 Nm of torque, ensuring ample performance for daily driving needs.

Prices and competitors

The MG Gloster Storm series has a starting price point of Rs 41.05 lakh, offering a distinctive and rugged alternative within the premium SUV segment. While these special editions do not face direct competition, they serve as an attractive option for customers considering Gloster’s competitors, such as the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian.
