Design Updates

It adopts several exterior elements from the succeeding Z8 trim, including dual-barrel LED headlights with LED DRLs, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and LED projector fog lamps. Additionally, the carmaker is introducing the SUV with the XUV700’s exclusive Midnight Black exterior shade, currently available only for the new Z8 Select variant.

Interior Updates

The cabin of the Z8 Select bears resemblances to the regular Scorpio N Z8, featuring a consistent black and brown interior theme complemented by leatherette upholstery. Similarly, mirroring the Z8 trim, the Z8 Select model is exclusively offered in the 7-seater configuration.

When it comes to available amenities, the Z8 Select includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, connected car technology, and a sunroof. In contrast to the Z8, however, the Z8 Select lacks dual-zone AC, push-button start/stop, and automatic headlights.

The safety package of the Z8 Select includes electronic stability control (ESC), six airbags, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.

Engine updates

Mahindra is providing the Z8 Select variants with options for both petrol and diesel engines, each available with either a manual or automatic gearbox.

Mahindra provides the SUV with a four-wheel-drive (4WD) exclusively for the top-spec Z8L diesel manual and automatic variants.

The Mahindra Scorpio N ranges in price from Rs 13.60 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh. It competes against monocoque SUVs like the Tata Harrier/Safari and higher-spec versions of certain compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Moreover, the Scorpio N serves as an off-road-capable alternative to the comfort-focused Mahindra XUV700 in the manufacturer's lineup.
