Design Updates

Initially, the new Swift may appear more like an enhanced version of the previous model rather than a completely new generation update. However, this is not necessarily a negative aspect. The subtle yet impactful upgrades, such as the updated headlight clusters and redesigned grille, contribute to its refreshed aesthetic appeal.

Additional cosmetic enhancements comprise updated bumpers, adjusted LED tail lights featuring new internal lighting elements, and newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels. Notably, the India-spec fourth-gen Swift showcases minor design alterations compared to the UK-spec and Japan-spec models, attributed to the inclusion of LED front fog lamps and a slightly modified grille, respectively.

Interior Updates

Interior updates are focused around the dashboard, which now hosts a larger touchscreen system, refined central AC vents, and an upgraded climate control panel. These modifications bring it closer in resemblance to the dashboard found in the new Maruti Baleno.

From the driver's side of the cabin, the similarities with the outgoing model are most noticeable, with the same 3-spoke steering wheel and dual-pod analog instrument cluster (which includes a colored TFT MID in the center).

Enhanced Features and Safety Technology Onboard

As mentioned above, the new Swift is equipped with a larger 9-inch touchscreen system, along with features such as auto AC, push-button start/stop, wireless phone charging, cruise control, and connected car technology.

Its safety features now include six airbags as standard, an electronic stability program (ESP), a rear parking camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.

The 2024 Maruti Swift remains a contender against the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, while also offering a hatchback option in comparison to the Renault Triber crossover MPV and micro SUVs like the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch.
