Morris Garages (MG) set the Auto Expo 2020 stage on fire by unveiling the new MG Hector Plus. MG welcomed two members to its family of full-sized SUVs with the MG Hector Plus and the MG Gloster. While both the cars created a buzz among those present, Hector Plus got the most attention.
The Auto Expo 2020, which commenced from the 7th of February, 2020 has already become a big hit among car enthusiasts. The biennia motor show went on to witness showcasing of concepts and production-spec cars. With prominent players like Tata Motors, Mahindra, Mercedes-Benz stealing the show, Morris Garages (MG) came with a bang with its launches.
MG (Morris Garages) which has been functional for 89 years now and over the years has launched splendid automobile models that have outdone themselves yet again with the Hector Plus. The MG Hector was already a fan favorite and with a few upgrades to the exterior, Hector Plus has grabbed the attention of the masses.
Set to be released in the latter half of 2020, the MG Hector Plus comes in two models. The first one provides the seating facility for six persons while the next one caters seven individuals. The model has added a row to itself making it MG’s first three rowed SUV. In the six-seat model each row is provided with two captain seats while in the seven-seat model, the last row can accommodate 3 individuals comfortably.
The MG Hector Plus gets it right where the MG Hector was most criticized for. Under the hood, the MG Hector Plus has the same engine and functionalities as that of the MG Hector. It would be sometime before the interior of the car could be accessed and reviewed. But what was presented was enough to stir interest among the masses.
The biggest wins of the MG Hector Plus along with the previously mentioned seating features are the redesigned exteriors of the model. The car has got a redesigned LED DRL cluster along with the addition of redesigned headlights whilst retaining the split headlight setup. The grill has been given a glossy black finish with tiny chrome elements on it. The Morris Garages (MG) logo shines on this redesigned grill.
Along the side, the Hector Plus is indistinguishable from the Hector, having the same dimensions, the same wheelbase. Even the wheels have been retained. Morris Garages (MG) did not grant access to the interiors of the Hector Plus during Auto Expo 2020, assuring that the interiors of the car will be changed and remodeled when the Hector Plus goes into production.
In the back, a keen eye will spot a slightly redesigned tail light along with a redesigned bumper and an additional new badge. The Hector Plus comes with the 1.5-liter turbo petrol or diesel engine that was present in the MG Hector.
According to the reaction of the masses, with the addition of the Hector Plus in its SUV family, MG has upped the game and expectations from Auto Expo 2020. The latter half of the year cannot arrive faster enough.
