Introducing the Citroen Basalt Vision concept, a cutting-edge coupe SUV unveiled worldwide by the renowned French automaker. Previously recognized as the Citroen C3X, this innovative model is scheduled for release in the Indian and South American automotive markets. Built upon the esteemed CMP platform shared with Citroen's acclaimed C3 and C3 Aircross models, the Basalt Vision promises a thrilling fusion of style and performance.

1. Design Specifications

 

 

The front design seems similar to Citroen's current models such as the C3 and C3 Aircross, featuring a split grille with a chrome finish and split headlamp housing. On the sides, its sleek coupe-like roofline contributes to a sportier appearance. Enhanced by squared wheel arches, side body cladding, and dual-tone alloy wheels, the overall aesthetic exudes athleticism.

 

The rear of this SUV coupe appears elevated, with the boot lid positioned noticeably higher than the hood. Additional design elements at the rear comprise wraparound LED taillamps and a tall bumper featuring a substantial silver skid plate.

 

2. Interior Updates

 

 

While Citroen has yet to unveil the interior of the Basalt Vision concept, it's anticipated to share similarities with the C3 Aircross. Nevertheless, the Basalt Vision concept is projected to offer a more extensive range of features compared to current Citroen models, including amenities like cruise control, automatic air conditioning, push-button start/stop functionality, and keyless entry.

 

3. Other Features

 

 

The Basalt Vision is expected to inherit features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch digital driver’s display from the C3 Aircross SUV. regarding safety, it is expected to include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a rear parking camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

 

4. Powertrain Details

 

 

While Citroen has not disclosed the powertrain specifications for the Basalt Vision, it will probably employ the identical 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine (110 PS / up to 205 Nm ) found in the C3 hatchback and C3 Aircross compact SUV. This engine is expected to be available with both a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
